Tournament Director and International Arbiter, Alex McFarlane,
doubles up as games inputter in his spare time.

Keying all those games in for the pgn file can easily make you fall asleep. Andy Howie deals with
the IT issues as well as being one organisers who is in putting games during the congress.

Round 5

Marina Brunello from Italy is competing in the International Open and is on 3/4.
The same score as her brother, Sasino, who is pictured behind her.

Ravshan Khamroev from Uzbekistan, is picking up wins following
his confusion with the start date of the tournament.

In the background is Connor Woods, thinking how lucky he is not to be playing on the
board behind him where the oranges and apples are falling out of the open cupboard.

Realising that the oranges and apples are there to stay, he can now
concentrate on his round 5 match and add to his current score of 2
½/4.

With his Braille set in front of him, Steve Hilton is sat
twiddling his thumbs waiting for his opponent to arrive.
